The National Gay Pilots Association is an organization of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender aviation enthusiasts from around the world. We host a number of social events each year and work to promote aviation safety and equal treatment.Greetings everyone! Here is a link to a terrific video that Southwest Airlines created regarding their diversity policy. As many of you know, NGPA members who work for Southwest met with their senior management, including the Vice President of Flying, after a rant about gay people and flight attendants, made by another Southwest pilot that was captured on an ATC frequency, was made public last August. With our help, Southwest created this video that stars two of those folks who met with management! This link will take you to Southwest’s diversity page. On it you will see the video and the first people you will see are our own Sean Cooper and his partner Mike Church! Mike is a captain at Southwest and Sean is a First Officer.
